Mother freaking hell

So it's been raining for 8 days here.

And when I came home, the carpets in my bedroom along the exterior wall were soaked.

Yeah.

Great.

Called dad and he brought the shop vac and to see if the water was indeed coming out of the electrical outlet.

It wasn't but the carpet is wet for a good foot or so out from the wall. We went to look at the wall, and it is very clear the issue is the drain off the roof. The water seems to have cascaded down the wall and then in through the grout.

Phonecalls have been made to the insurance company and the condo people.

I have no idea if this is something covered by insurance since it's water and due to a drain. And I sense a major fight with the condo board. I did send them photos of the very wet wall.

For now, I have towels down and a fan blowing. I've no idea how long this has been going on and so no idea if the damage is major. The walls don't *seem* to be damp, just the rug and what's underneath.

I am having ice cream and beer for dinner. And crossposting with LJ/Dreamwidth as I am extra woe is me tonight.
