Very quick update - I went to see Dar Williams last night play with the Ibis Chamber music society. The Ibis group is basically world class (ie - NSO, Boston Pops, etc) musicians who get together and jam. The harpist is the sister in law to Dar and so they just blended their music. As the music director said, "I was compelled to arrange some of these songs." They only did a few of her pieces - "Aging Well", "Beauty of the Rain", "Comfortably Numb", "When I Was a Boy"...but they were...transcendent moments. When the violins, basses, woodwinds, and cellos swelled during "Aging Well" - I started to cry. After "Comfortably Numb", A turned to me and said - "Now that was awesome."

They recorded the shows so hopefully you all can get tidbits of it - if I see video, I will post it.

(An aside, for my fellow Girlyman fans, Doris was diagnosed with leukemia after the November tour - she is doing better and is touring again, but I was struck by how close how that group is. Gotta love Facebook sometimes.)

Now back to the worse work week ever.
